Some challenges aren’t solved in a workshop.
A live succession decision. A difficult peer relationship. A leadership transition. A pattern of behaviour only you and your closest colleagues can see. Living Templates offers focused, confidential executive coaching for exactly these situations.
Why Coaching, Not Training
When a group session isn’t the right instrument.
Group training builds shared language and peer accountability across a cohort. It’s not built for a single leader’s specific, live, often sensitive situation. Coaching goes where a workshop can’t — a confidential, one-on-one relationship addressing the leader’s actual challenge, in real time, with structured follow-through between sessions.
Who Coaching Is For
CEOs and senior executives navigating live strategic or leadership decisions
Managers stepping into expanded or first-time leadership responsibility challenge
Professionals working on personal effectiveness, judgment or self-management
Leaders working through a specific relational or organizational-political challenge
Individuals seeking sustained, structured development beyond a single session
How Coaching Engagements Work
- A clear focus — agreed with the leader (and, where relevant, their manager or HR sponsor) at the outset. Not an open-ended, unstructured conversation series.
- Regular sessions over a defined period — typically fortnightly or monthly across 3–6 months, allowing real behavioural work between sessions.
- Practical application between sessions — each session ends with a specific commitment tested in real work before the next conversation.
- Confidentiality within a clear sponsorship framework — coaching content stays confidential to the leader; where an HR or executive sponsor is involved, the scope of any shared reporting is agreed in advance.
What Coaching Typically Addresses
- Executive effectiveness and strategic judgment
- Leadership maturity — composure, self-awareness, restraint
- Decision-making under ambiguity
- Personal effectiveness and self-management
- Emotional intelligence and working relationships
- Navigating organizational dynamics and influence without formal authority
- Career and professional growth, and — where relevant to the individual — life and personal alignment

COACHING WITHIN A BROADER JOURNEY
Coaching doesn’t have to stand alone. It’s available as a standalone engagement, or paired with group training — for example, individual coaching alongside the Executive Effectiveness package, so group learning and one-on-one application reinforce each other.
